Description

L2AC (Long-life Autonomous Clock) is an autonomous clock designed to operate for at least 40 years with minimal maintenance.

The Story Behind

It all started as an engineer's slightly crazy idea: I was tired of regularly changing the batteries in electronic devices. We also live in a world that is increasingly aware of environmental issues.

Time sets the pace of our lives. Paradoxically, true luxury is also being able to enjoy our free time, because the time we have is not infinite.

I wanted to use my electronics knowledge to create a clock with maximum autonomy - potentially several decades - with as few compromises as possible and very high accuracy.

The project is also an opportunity to think about what we call time: a familiar concept in everyday life, but a much more mysterious one when we look at physics, relativity, or the idea of time as a dimension.
